Life at Cancer Risk™ Modules
The Life at Cancer Risk Suite consists of 5 modules:
- L@CR Core: The simulation engine and data management framework for a basic representation of the cancer control continuum that includes population, prevention, treatment, life and economic simulations;
- L@CR Investor: Measure of relative value and the demonstration of business cases across the incorporated cancer control continuum;
- L@CR Manager: Extension of cancer continuum to include multi-disciplinary analysis including a translational research value proposition focus and allowing for epidemiology to customise model inputs and algorithms. A cancer treatment waiting times sub-module provides for the real-time simulation of treatment waiting times and the different impacts of extending or reducing treatment waiting times;
- L@CR Client: Extension of the ability to conduct cancer control risk management to include the important perspective of the future potential cancer patient (the individual of the community). This allows members of the community to access the same risk management platform used by cancer control professionals to assess their own cancer risk, and craft a customised cancer control strategy.
- L@CR Researcher: This is a highly customised research module which allows research managers to manage their research pipeline risks (i.e. business case and research relevance hypothesis testing, impact of new clinical trial data etc.), and conduct real-time population/disease/economic simulation analysis.
The typical implementation of the Life at Cancer Risk Suite is illustrated as follows
L@CR Core concentrates on providing the simulation capability that is necessary to support all cancer control risk management applications. The following diagram illustrates the basic focus of the L@CR Core module:
